मेरठ: महिला के ऊपर पति व ससुर ने डाला तेजाब, महिला को उपचार के लिए जिला अस्पताल भेजा।
जनपद मेरठ के थाना लिसाड़ी गेट क्षेत्र के श्याम नगर गली नंबर 5 में नगमा पुत्री फहीमुद्दीन की शादी एक वर्ष पहले मेहराज पुत्र मुमताज निवासी न्यू इस्लामनगर के साथ हुई थी। पीड़िता के परिजनों का आरोप है कि ससुराल पक्ष काफी समय से दहेज की मांग कर रहे हैं।
आरोप यह भी है कि ससुर महिला पर गलत नजर भी रखता है। इसी के चलते महिला नगमा 18 दिन पहले अपने मायके चली गई थी। परिजनों ने बताया कि तीन दिन पहले दोनों परिवारों के लोगों में पंचायत बैठी, लेकिन इस दौरान महिला ने ससुराल जाने से इनकार कर दिया। इससे नाराज होकर सोमवार को पति अपने पिता के साथ श्याम नगर गली नंबर 5 में अपनी ससुराल पहुंचा तो नगमा से चलने की बात कही।
आरोप है कि नगमा ने ससुराल जाने से इंकार कर दिया तो पति व ससुर ने महिला के ऊपर तेजाब डाल दिया। जिसके बाद महिला बुरी तरह झुलस गई। परिवार के लोगों ने थाने पहुंचकर ससुराल पक्ष पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए हंगामा कर दिया। पुलिस ने महिला को उपचार के लिए जिला अस्पताल भेज दिया। पुलिस मामले की जांच पड़ताल में जुटी है।

Nagma’s daughter Fahimuddin was married a year ago to Mehraj’s son Mumtaz resident of New Islamnagar in Shyam Nagar street number 5 of Lisadi Gate area of district Meerut. The relatives of the victim allege that the in-laws have been demanding dowry for a long time.
It is also alleged that the father-in-law keeps a wrong eye on the woman. Because of this, the woman Nagma had gone to her maternal home 18 days ago. The family members said that three days ago a panchayat was held among the people of both the families, but during this time the woman refused to go to her in-laws house. Angered by this, on Monday, when the husband along with his father reached his in-laws house in Shyam Nagar Gali No. 5, he asked Nagma to leave.
It is alleged that when Nagma refused to go to her in-laws house, her husband and father-in-law poured acid on her. After which the woman got badly burnt. The family members reached the police station and created a ruckus making serious allegations against the in-laws. Police sent the woman to the district hospital for treatment. The police is probing the matter.
