मेरठ जनपद के सदर सर्राफा बाजार में बंगाली कारीगर डेढ़ करोड़ रुपए का सोना लेकर फरार हो गए। जानकारी के अनुसार कारीगरों को सर्राफा कारोबारी ने छिलाई के लिए सोना के आभूषण दिए थे बाद में जब कारोबारी ने अपने सोने के आभूषण लेने के लिए फोन किया तो कारीगरों के नंबर बंद मिले हैं। सुबह कारोबारी को पता चला कि कारीगर फरार हो गए।
Bengali artisans absconded with gold worth Rs 1.5 crore in Sadar Sarafa Bazar of Meerut district. According to the information, a bullion trader had given gold jewelery to the artisans for polishing. Later, when the businessman called to collect his gold jewellery, the artisans’ numbers were found switched off. In the morning the businessman came to know that the artisans had absconded.
जानकारी के अनुसार सदर सर्राफा स्थित महबूब छिलाई वाला जो कि सदर सर्राफा बाजार में आभूषणों पर छिलाई का कार्य करने वाला ठेकेदार है। वह कोलकाता गया हुआ था। उसके पीछे उसका बेटा अमीन यहां पर काम को संभाल रहा था। कारीगर ना होने की वजह से अमीन ने कहीं और से एक या दो कारीगर अरेंज करें। जिन्हें रविवार 13 जनवरी की रात को मनोज वर्मा ने छीलाई के लिए 1 किलो सोने के आभूषण दिए थे। साथ ही विवेक जैन ने भी लगभग 1 किलो से अधिक सोने के आभूषण छिलाई के लिए दिए थे।

To whom Manoj Verma had given 1 kg gold jewelery for Chhailai on the night of Sunday 13th January. Besides, Vivek Jain had also given more than 1 kg of gold jewelery for scrapping.
सोमवार सुबह महबूब ने इन दोनों को फोन कर बताया कि मेरे बेटे अमीन को मारपीट कर, वह जो टेंपरेरी रूप से छिलाई के कारीगर बुलाए थे, वह सोना लेकर फरार हो गए हैं। मेरे बेटे अमीन का मोबाइल भी अपने साथ ले गए हैं। मेरी अमीन से एक ही बार बात हुई है। उसके बाद बात नहीं हो पा रही। इस संबंध में मेरठ बुलियन ट्रेडर्स एसोसिएशन के महामंत्री विजयआनन्द अग्रवाल ने एसपी सिटी आयुष सिंह को पूरे मामले की जानकारी दी है। पुलिस जांच में जुटी।
