विधायक अतुल प्रधान द्वारा मेरठ जनपद के न्यूट्रिमा हॉस्पिटल में किए गए हंगामे के बाद आईएमए ने कड़ा विरोध जारी किया है। डॉक्टरों ने पत्रकार वार्ता करते हुए इस प्रकार की घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति होने पर गंभीर मरीजों के इलाज में खुद को अक्षम बताया है।

ब्रहस्पतिवार को आईएमए हॉल में एक पत्रकार वार्ता का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें आईएमए के अध्यक्ष डॉ संदीप जैन ने आरोप लगाया कि सपा विधायक अतुल प्रधान द्वारा अपने 50 समर्थकों के साथ न्यूट्रिमा हॉस्पिटल में जबरन दाखिल होकर उनके द्वारा भय का माहौल बनाया गया। इसी के साथ डॉक्टरों पर दबाव बनाकर 20 दिन से भर्ती मरीज को बिना बकाया बिल दिए अतुल प्रधान ने डिस्चार्ज करा लिया।
इस दौरान अस्पताल में भर्ती अन्य मरीजों को भी असुविधाओं का सामना करना पड़ा। डॉ संदीप जैन ने कहा कि डॉक्टर मरीजों की सेवा के लिए रात-दिन तत्पर रहते हैं। पैसे कम होने पर डॉक्टर मरीज को डिस्काउंट के साथ-साथ अपनी पूरी फीस माफ करने के लिए भी तैयार हैं। लेकिन, इस तरह दबाव बनाकर डॉक्टरों को परेशान करना उचित नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि हालात यही रहे और इस प्रकार की घटनाएं नहीं रुकीं तो भविष्य में मेरठ के डॉक्टर गंभीर मरीजों को भर्ती करने से पहले कई बार सोचेंगे और उन्हें दिल्ली के लिए रेफर करने पर मजबूर होंगे। ऐसे हालात में गंभीर मरीजों के तीमारदारों को बेहद परेशानी होगी। उन्होंने इस पूरे घटना की भर्त्सना करते हुए मामले में कार्रवाई की मांग की।
इस दौरान डॉक्टर संदीप गर्ग, डॉक्टर अमित उपाध्याय और डॉक्टर सुमित उपाध्याय भी मौजूद रहे। बताते चलें कि सरधना से सपा विधायक अतुल प्रधान के परिचित का बच्चा 20 दिन से न्यूट्रिमा हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती था। दो दिन पहले अस्पताल द्वारा बिल मांगने पर अवैध वसूली का आरोप लगाते हुए अतुल प्रधान मरीज को डिस्चार्ज करा कर ले गए थे। इस मामले में देर रात अतुल प्रधान सहित 50 लोगों के खिलाफ मेडिकल थाने में मुकदमा दर्ज हुआ है।

IMA has issued a strong protest after the ruckus created by MLA Atul Pradhan at Nutrima Hospital. While giving a press conference, the doctors declared themselves incapable of treating serious patients if such incidents recur.
A press conference was organized at IMA Hall on Thursday. In which IMA President Dr. Sandeep Jain alleged that an atmosphere of fear was created by SP MLA Atul Pradhan by forcibly entering Nutrima Hospital with his 50 supporters. Along with this, by putting pressure on the doctors, Atul Pradhan got the patient admitted for 20 days discharged without paying the outstanding bill.
During this period, other patients admitted in the hospital also had to face inconvenience. Dr. Sandeep Jain said that doctors are ready day and night to serve the patients. In case of shortage of money, the doctor is ready to give discount to the patient as well as waive off his entire fee. But, it is not right to harass the doctors by creating pressure like this. He said that if the situation remains the same and such incidents do not stop, then in future the doctors of Meerut will think twice before admitting serious patients and will be forced to refer them to Delhi. In such a situation, the relatives of serious patients will face a lot of trouble. He condemned this entire incident and demanded action in the matter.
